Miss Bretagne, Laury Thilleman, smiles after being crowned Miss France 2011 during the 64th edition of the beauty contest on December 4, 2010 in Caen, northwestern France.
19-year old Laury Thilleman, who competed as Miss Bretagne, won the title of Miss France 2011 during the annual event held in Caen, on December 4th. Laury, who hails from Pontivy, is a student of Communications who stands 1.79 m tall and will represent her country at the 2011 Miss Universe pageant to take place in August.
The 1st runner-up was Miss Languedoc, Jenna Sylvestre. The 22-year old student of commerce from Carnon stands 1.71 m tall and is expected to represent France in the Miss World 2011 pageant.
The beauties from Auvergne, Picardie and Ile-de-France completed the top 5. Alain Delon was once again, president of the Jury.
The winner gets a prize of 100,000 Euro.
This was the first time since 1954 that the Miss France contest was not under the patronage of Madame Genevieve De Fontenay, who broke her contract with Endemol months ago, citing creative differences. De Fontenay then created her own rival pageant, called “Miss Nationale”.
The Miss France commitee is now headed by former titleholder Sylvie Tellier.

miss france 2011 will be miss universe 2011!!!
Looks a bit like a linebacker and have heard that she is conniving but she does have a good catwalk.
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ms. Thilleman will not be a finalist at Miss Universe. She looks totally beat up in the face, and is in no way shape or form like last years stunning winner. Miss France should be on the map when it comes to the Grand Slam pageants, but I guess it will never get there if they continue to send contestants that look that, and if there organization can’t get work together to promote there pageant. Enough said.
very nice girls, good luck for miss bretagne 2011;-)
wow so beautifull, so cool … congrattion..hehe
