The new Miss Universe Slovakia is Dagmar Kolesarova. The 20-year old beauty stands 1.78 m-tall. She will compete in Miss Universe 2011, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on September 12.
The 1st runner-up was Romana Procházková. She is expected to compete in the Miss Earth 2011 competition, probably in the Philippines.
Miriama Matúšová was the 2nd runner-up, and she will represent Slovakia in Miss Supranational 2011 to be held in Poland, August 27th.
Slovakia, or Slovak Republic, an independent nation since 1993, has been competing in Miss Universe since 1994. Its first representative, Silvia Lakatošová, was a top 6 finisher in Miss Universe 1994, held in the Philippines.
Silvia is the national director of Miss Universe Slovakia today.
After 1994, Slovakia has never again had a semi-finalist in Miss Universe, and Dagmar’s challenge is to end the 17-year-long drought.

She`s beautiful. Miss Universe always calls the Czech girls into the Top 15 considering and a lot of times in this 17 years the Slovakian girls were way better.

slovakia should stop sending delegates. they are just wasting money on non winners every year. 1994 slovak rep just got lucky because most of the candidates that year was really ugly and horrible.
@mau aba imbiernakish: Slovakia and all other European countries should just stop sending delegates to Miss Universe altogether because everybody knows that Miss Universe doesn’t give a sh*t to anyone but Latinas. No matter how beautiful and strong an European delegate’s performance is, she is mostly/usually passed over to some Latinas plastic beauties each year. Notice how NO European girls have won the Miss Universe crown since 1990 (the year when Mona Grudt of Norway won). Okay Oxana did too in 2002 but she was dethroned and her crown went to Miss Panama so she doesn’t count.
Seriously, Miss Universe is losing its credibility year after year. And the Miss Universe still wonders why it’s not that highly regarded in Europe and elsewhere as opposed to, say, Miss World? Please!!! They should know better by now. Mr. Trump, I hope you take notes on this.
