Stage for the 2012 Miss Earth competition in Ninh Thuan; completion to take place in 2012
Mister Nguyen Cong Khe, head of the Media Youth Group, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, and authorities of the province of Ninh Thuan, reunited to sign the contract that gives Ninh Thuan the rights to host the Miss Vietnam 2012 and Miss Earth 2012 pageants. Media Youth Group will invest in the construction of a special 2000-seat auditorium for the events called the “Stage of Beauty”.
This new open-air, roofed auditorium will feature the latest in technology as well as a magical water fountain, making it one of a kind in Southeast Asia.
The Miss Vietnam 2012 competition is scheduled to take place in August, while the Miss Earth 2012 contest will be held in early December. Around 90 contestants from all over the globe will tour places of interest in Vietnam during a month before the final event.
The province of Ninh Thuan is located in the South Central coast of Vietnam, with pristine beaches and an active agricultural movement. Its capital, Phan Rang – Thap Cham City, is located 105km south of Nha Trang (city which hosted the 2010 pageant).
Also, it was learned that Bangkok, Thailand, will host the Miss Earth 2013 competition. The thai capital was supposed to welcome the 2011 competition but the impending floods caused the event to be cancelled, and to return to its home base of Manila.

Honestly , Miss Earth 2010 (which held in VietNam) is the best ME ever . Vietnam also did very good job for Miss Universe 2008 , which had the best stage & incredible winner (Dayana Mendoza – Venezuela) up to now . I’m sorry but the set up of MU 2009 , 2010 , 2011 are so bad !
The only reason ME11 was done in Manila is due to the massive flooding in Bangkok. Had it not flooded, Thailand wouldn’t back-out dear.

Great, Vietnam is a great host country in 2010 for Miss Earth and 2008 for Miss Universe. Unfortunately, they backed out Miss World last year.
Love to see Miss Earth back in Vietnam. I heard there are other countries from Asia, Europe, Africa and Australia who are bidding to be the future venue of this pageant. For those who want to put it down, not gonna happen. Production of this year’s pageant in the Philippines, despite being short in time was impressive.

wowwww, vietnam is a rich country, no doubt they have this construction of beauty pageant auditorium…. Miss Earth is reaally getting waves in the world, I can’t imagine it is just an 11 year-old pageant but many got interested to host this pageant all over the world that’s what I heard. I think because the pageant is very relevant and it has a good cause, not to mention that the prizes of the winners of the elements are big…… and wow the winner headquarters is the presidential suite of manila nostalg center in the Philippines. i saw the whole show in star world and the Philippines has a very beautiful places to go to…. next is vietnam places will be featured, I am excited for the halong bay in vietnam which is one of the seven wonders of nature.

this year’s presentation was really the best! thank goodness they go back to the original format, with final top 4 remaining… love this way better. the host this year was really professional hope to see them again next year.

@Ryan: How about you where are you from? You’re shocked of the results? Well I guess your country didn’t reach the top 16 or top 8 or even in the final 4. Sorry to tell you we’re not worried & affected if you’re not interested in any beauty pageants which will be held in the the Philippines. As you noticed many of the judges were foreigners & for your information not every year that the Philippines reached the final 4. Come to think of it, since 2000 it was held in the Philippines except last year in Vietnam and supposed to be this year Thailand will be hosting but due to the heavy flood the said pageant moved back to the original place. Ryan, Philippines bagged their first crown last 2008 only unlike Brazil 2004 & 2009 and this year they almost won the crown again. All I can say the winners deserved their crowns.

In my opinion, Vietnam is a beautiful and friendly country. It is so great that ME 2012 will be held in Ninh Thuan. As I had chance to visit that picturesque province of Vietnam with my family, I can make sure that almost everyone will fall in love with it. There are many beautiful natural sites, tasty dishes, and charming Oriental girls ;;)
It doesnt really matter what pageant and where that pageant will be held.
Beauty pagenats may, up to a certain extent, has been commercialized. True that these pageants are for a good cause, yet with all of the bickering between fans and supporters, international beauty pagents will never succeed in it’s goals of promoting harmony and celebrating beauty for what it is.
Let’s all be happy for Vietnam that it’ll have another opportunity to showcase what they have to the world. Let’s all hope that Thailand will host the pageant on 2013 – and let’s justbe happy for those who won – without telling everyone that they dont deserve to win. Let’s just celebrate beauty for all its diversity and color – after all, our own eyes can only tell us what is beautiful and what is not.
