After announcing with fireworks that the Miss Universe 2009 finals would take place on Sunday, August 30th, the date was suddenly changed: The contest will take place on Sunday, August 23rd. Same location, the Atlantis Resort in Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas.
No reasons or an official announcement were given for this change. So if you already made flight/hotel arrangements, we suggest you change them as soon as possible to avoid any penalty charges.
The event will be telecast live on NBC.
