In recent years, we do not remember seeing a candidate as consistent as South Africa’s Melinda Bam. She’s been a favorite from the very beginning, and has done everything perfectly. It’s no surprise that she has been chosen Miss Global Beauties Universe 2012. However, let’s not forget that being a press favorite does not necessarily mean winning or getting close to do it. After all, the competition is won during the live telecast and not before. But we have enjoyed picking our favorites and presenting them to you, our visitors.
We do not know if this list will be accurate come December 19th, but we had fun while doing it and whatever the outcome let’s wish the best to all 89 contestants.
Those who like to keep numbers, in our 21-25 spots were Bolivia, France, Guatemala, India, and St. Lucia.
Don’t forget as well that Trump/Miss Universe Organization picks a certain number of semi-finalists which can lead to some surprises; as well as the winner of the popular vote.
Tomorrow we will publish our annual Miss Universe review, with comments on all candidates and possibilities of each one. In the meantime, happy Miss Universe week!
