The results of the Beach Fashion point-system competition, formerly known as Beach Beauty, will not be released until the final show, just like it happened in 2011.

The 40 semi-finalists were recently photographed and filmed on the Inner Mongolia desert, but have not walked the runway for the judges. It will happen later in the competition.

MWO explained why it’s now called Beach Fashion: “It allows every contestant the ability to fashion her beachwear and it is very good for her future prospects if her career is in fashion modeling”. It means the competition is not only about how “perfect” the girls look in swimsuits, but also how they model them, which makes perfect sense.

There’s a chance 40 semi-finalists will become 20, or even 10 finalists, but it hasn’t yet been confirmed.
