Leaderboard 4.0: China leads, Wales follows closely (7.8)
Right now the dispute between China and Wales among GB’s judges is incredibly tight: current score is China 49 X 47 Wales. It’s interesting to note that previously, Wales had not even been in the Top 7, which means she really started to shine now. This is how close this race is. Ukraine remains in the Top 3, in 3rd place, and for the first time, Colombia drops to the Top 7. See the new list:
1) CHINA
2) WALES
3) UKRAINE
Top 7: Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Israel
Top 15: Czech Republic, Mexico, Paraguay, Philippines, Poland, Russia, South Sudan, Spain
Top 30: Albania, Argentina, Chile, England, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, France, Guadeloupe, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Panama, Puerto Rico, Seychelles, Venezuela
Czech Republic and Poland stepped up to the “top 15″, while Argentina, Panama, and Seychelles, entered the Top 30 for the first time.

Besides Sean Connery, I think Timothy Dalton is the best James Bond ever. So many think that he is the worst. Therefore, I’m still checking out, not only Miss Wales, blut Miss Mexico and Miss Jamacia also. Miss Jamaica could part the Oceans, she’s still just an ordinary looking black attractive woman. Miss Mexico, she’s a beautiful Latina without the it factor. Miss Jamacia, also she does not have the it factor of black beauties. No matter how big of a house the Chinese have built for this competition, they do not have a winner. Miss Universe Angola Leila Lopes is a georgeous woman of black descent, but whether the world of beauty wants to recognize it or not, Miss South Sudan has always been and always will be a queen. She just wanted to see what was happening out there in this world. China is a beautiful country. But is it advanced enough to go beyond traditional beauty. Will Budda continue to smile if the Chinese image of beauty does not go beyond what is acceptable.

I keep checking Miss Wales out to see what the hype is about. I’m just not getting or seeing it. Were not suppose to make negative comments about the ladies, but seriously, Miss Wales is such an easy target. -I think Miss Serbia is under-rated.

Aug 09, 2012 @ 00:58:38
This leaderboard is not credible. It is very obvious that Philippines stands out ( and alone ) from the big group of girls, followed by Miss Colombia. The rest, no chance.
Aug 09, 2012 @ 18:37:42
Hey World, don’t you know the whole world is about Miss Philippines! Nothing else matters…..
Lisamarvell: instead of dreaming of something that is NOT gonna happen, why don’t you apply to be the next judge at Miss Universe or Miss World. That way, you can certainly vote for your favourite. It is comments like yours that makes the rest of the world HATE the Philippines. I have Filipino friends in Canada and no way they are as Fanatics as you. You have the right to support your delegate but don’t bash the rest of the contestants. As a matter of fact, be happy that these GB judges place Miss Philippines in the top 15. Beside, what happens here and in the real competition are two different things. This is for entertainment only and I am having as much fun guessing who the eventually finalists are (to see if my choices match those of the final night). So, enjoy but don’t put your Miss Philippines on a pedestal while looking down on other delegates who are more beautiful, elegant, and display more “humanistic facial beauty” (as some of your fellow Filipino fans would say) than your delegate.
On that note, here are my top 7 (for fun): Wales, Ukraine, France, China, South Sudan, Seychelles and Colombia.
Aug 10, 2012 @ 10:56:25
You know lisamarvelli, why are you so pissed about people voting or liking Miss Philippines?
We all have our favorites so go for your yours and not bash on anyone who have their own choices. It is obvious that Miss Philippines is one of the standouts as seen also last year. So why piss yourself?
Aug 10, 2012 @ 11:08:29
Pardon me my reply goes to lamarquise
Aug 16, 2012 @ 02:27:58
Hey, lamarquise, all lisamarvelli is make a little quip but here goes your bum of a mouth eruptin’! She has the right to brag about her contestant of choice as much as you have. Your verbal diarrhea doesn’t count.

Aug 08, 2012 @ 19:25:21
There should be no interpreter during question and answer portion.let see how smart they all are. There should be no bias and all the judges should be fair.
Aug 09, 2012 @ 03:27:19
So native English speakers will have an obvious advantage; is that what you call ‘no bias’?.
Aug 09, 2012 @ 20:05:58
Youre joining in an international pageant and youre facing an international panel of judges so what language are you gonna use then? FYI: ENGLISH is the world’s international language and every delegate should make sure to learn and understand the language before setting their foot on the plane en route to their INTERNATIONAL competition..
Aug 10, 2012 @ 01:10:54
Says who?. Just because English is one of the most widely spoken languages in the World(it’s not the most widely spoken btw) it doesn’t mean people are required to learn it in every international competition, nor does it mean that those who speak it are more intelligent. In fact, except for notable exceptions like India, people from countries where English is the main language don’t bother to learn a second language whereas many people from smaller, non-anglo countries usually learn a second or third language. I get English is the business and technology language but this is a beauty pageant; your poise, elegance, class, people’s skills, grace and yes, intelligence are NOT determined by whether you speak English or not. Many judges in international pageants(some very famous fashion desingers) have a very basic grasp of the English language and that doesn’t make them any less talented, successful or influential. Oh and by the way, your CAPITALIZING the word ‘international’ doesn’t make your opinion right
Aug 11, 2012 @ 21:43:49
Your right. Im filipino but every country should have the right to speak their own language. This is an international event. English countries should not have any advantage. It is so stupid how some filipinos thinks everybody should know how to speak english. Speaking English does impress judges if your from a country that doesnt speak english but it should not be required.
Aug 09, 2012 @ 12:22:41
Where are you from, “Ze”?. In my opinion, a “well rehearsed” and or “phoney” contestant can be of any nation, whether her English is good or not. Last year, the finalists sound rehearsed, but this is also due to the nature of the final question: “why should you become the next Miss World?” In the end, it comes down to who had the most stage presence and who expressed herself eloquently. So if people say Venezuela was phoney in Spanish, then we could also say that Philippines was phoney in English, and so were the rest of the finalists. That final question was bad and not original. Of course, facial beauty and gown presentation played a major factor too. Of course, Venezuela’s win was obvious as she stood out the stage that day. The 2nd spot could have gone to any of the other finalists.
So, Miss World is someone who uses her title to promote the cause of Miss World Organization. The language barrier is not an issue. That’s the job of the interpreters. Your intelligence should not be based on how well your English is.
Aug 09, 2012 @ 12:42:46
Why do people keep saying this over and over again ?
English is my first language, but I don’t think it’s the most important language in the world. Let candidates answer in whatever language they want to. If it’s Sign Language, than so be it.
Ridicolous to think that a person is measured in intelligence via their ability in English.
Aug 09, 2012 @ 21:23:57
What? So do you mean that if you do not know how to speak the english language that it means you are dumb? What skewed thinking is this? If that were the case then i guess we shouldn’t be thanking all the geniuses in the past who didn’t speak english. What a demeaning thing to even assume!
Aug 10, 2012 @ 11:05:13
I agree because as far as i know, if a contestant is gonna win the title she will represent the world so she should be able to communicate well in English which is the international language. It should be a requirement. I guess being a titleholder of your country for sure you have studied English as well. In my opinion, translators are being used as a slight cheating. Giving the contestant a few seconds to think. The contestant should answer in one time and translated in one time and not chopping the answer/translate continue then translate. The translators translate the answers so good like its the candidate who really answered that well.

Aug 09, 2012 @ 12:31:59
Great top 7, Thierry!
My top 7 are:
Wales, South Sudan, Seychelles, China, Colombia, Ukraine and France.
When it comes down to a competition, I don’t care about the sash. It won’t happen to Canada this year. Miss Canada should just enjoy the experience, the time of her life. After all, they are all winners, aren’t they?
Aug 08, 2012 @ 17:20:16
i think the leadboards dont really convince everyone. In the matter of fact, there are many candicates to be more excellent but they can join to the leadboards. Actually, the leadboards just credict and to not confirm anything, but it effects their mentality of candicates alot. Therefore, i hope some judges need to work more fair. Because it makes the believing in someone who always expect in their delegates…
Aug 08, 2012 @ 16:38:13

I have a question about the G2 raking; in case Wales wins, would the points be awarded to it separately from the UK?, if so, does the UK get points from all of its constituent countries or does each country get them separately?
Aug 08, 2012 @ 15:21:23
The points will be granted to Wales.
