Yes, I agree with so many of the others….. South Sudan most certainly deserved to be Miss World. She had so many qualities that would have been an ideal representative of the World. Besides… she perfectly spoke the language of the world… English. Unlike the current winner. Did you see/hear how stupid the previous Miss World from Venezuela sounded? Also, a perfect slap on the face to racist countries with a white skin fixation.
And WHY on earth was Miss Nepal not in the top 15?? Absolutely ridiculous! For a small country that has never been recognized before… what a superb candidate she was. Big injustice done there too.

the scores for beauty with a purpose were not added to the above score…but why they did not show it?????..because if they would have showed it they could not give the crown to China and add Miss Wales(julia’s favorite) to the top 3. Miss USA went up due to the beauty with a purpose ..she was 3rd in 116th contestans and its 50% of all scores….definitely not a girl to be next to a Miss Mexico…but I am glad she was up there, all the girls were saying she was the sweetest and most charming of all of them, and almost winning beauty with a purpose…I am glad for her, its suppose to be, was Miss World is all about….and yet India was out??? what a scam!!!

I think the additional scores from the remaining events weren’t reflected in the final leaderboard, thus the seemingly inconsistent scores and ranking. (e.g. Miss United States gained points for placing in Beauty with a Purpose in addition to her raw score of 152). Just my theory.

Yeah that is what I had said previously…and I think they did that to add suspense to the event but then again why even have a scoreboard if you are not going to show the real scores….even after the talent competition they said China was in front but the scoreboard showed something else…..major injustices were done last night!!

All the 7 top scores made it to the top 7 except Mexico which scored higher than Brazil yet Brazil made it to the top 7 and Mexico was out?? The U.S and Kenya scored lower tah megagalactic Colombia and she was out??????????? Where is the logic on this?

That leaderboard looks so suspect because all of the top 15 scores were pretty close except for the bottom two. No one scored between a 152 (USA) and 214 (Kenya). With 116 contestants it’s hard to believe that no one scored in between that huge gap.

As hard for me was that the U.S.A. was part of the 15 finalists with 152 points and the beach fashion before selection of the 15 semifinalists, Nepal and Israel had 208 points and Puerto Rico 203. My question is could be an error or simply because the judges selected without taking into account the points?

Lo mas fuerte para mi fue que Estados Unidos formo parte de las 15 semifinalistas con 152 puntos y para el beach fashion antes de la selección de las 15 semifinalistas , Nepal e israel tenian 208 puntos y Puerto Rico 203. Mi preugunta es pudo ser un error o simplemente por que los jueces la seleccionaron sin tomar en cuenta los puntos?

Not true…those girls in stage were not just any girls, that was the quater finalists ( top 30) on stage…youll see it in the leaderboard later on…they just did not mention all their names… but they were NOT just some girls from backstage, they topped 86 others…

Unlike 2011, the Top 30 this year was not presented. They gathered 30 girls on stage and called a Top 15 but did not announce the remaining 15.

An average reasonable individual will not be able to comprehend the logic of the scoreboard shown above. The basic logic of a “scoreboard” of my understanding, is to list down the top scorers chronologically not randomly…perhaps Global Beauties can enlighten me on this?? On a separate note, I will not be surprised if the Miss World franchise will eventually be acquired by China-based firm… 2 titles before the home crowd?? The underlying political message of China’s second victory is not too persuasive to grasp…Well done!!

No the top 15 was called in reverse rank order…miss India won the prelim competition and Kenya was 15… The hosts announced it. The leader board points were not updated though…MWO will post the leader board…

When they were presenting the winners for beauty with a purpose you can see the score board in the back ground. When they announces the top 15 the score they showed did not change. So it looks like the the top 15 was announced in order, but the scores posted was not the most up to date one.

Very underwhelmed by the top 7 and even more so with the top three. Mexico is higher than six of the women in the top seven but she does not make it to the top seven? I am not Mexican, actually my favorite was Chile, but this does not make sense.

No…after the top 15 were announced, the final night judges scored them to choose the top 7. The prelim points did not carry over, but some impressions may have…

If you look at the leader board from last year, the pre-judging score still counted. It was added to other scores to determine the winner.

The prelims scores had to have carried over….that is what happened last year…they added points to the already existing ones (prelim scores)…what’s the point then of being in front of most of the fast tracks if you are no going to be selected for a top 7???

Well I beg to differ here. It`s not about pushing things, it`s stating the obvious. China PR was no doubt the media favorite but she had a total lacklustre performance on the finale night! India shone through. Entering the top 15 as number 1 deserves some respect and apreciation I suppose…………and here swtheart china had won twice in miss world and both the times in their own country…..so its quite evident Who deserved it…..

South Sudan was evident she deserved it……
India got most of her points from multimedia award and beauty with a purpose and her evening gown was hideous and she does not have as much “stage presence or star quality” (that is what they were judging on for the top 15 and top 7) as the other girls. She is not bad looking but she does not DESERVE it…..ok swtheart

Sure India’s dress wasnt the best out of all the others, but it certainly wouldnt go as far as hideous… Secondly, I dont know if you have even WATCHED the competion or what, cuz if you did you would know tht India obviously had a lot, if not most, star quality and stage presence. Oh it must be India to be the winner. She got 271 before BWP scores. And she won BWP, so she must be lead and wind the crown. Why USA in top7 with 152? Why Wales and Australia while India was one to win BWP?
China did Not make it to top10 BWP, MM. So why she won? Why why why?
