As a few contestants are yet to be crowned in their countries, GB’s traditional pre-arrival list of favorites might change, but our special guests and Miss World experts, all webmasters and/or blog owners and editors who love and at least try to understand Miss World, have already started working. With the provisory ranking released, a few pre-pageant favorites have already popped up, to name a few Brazil, Spain, Ukraine, France, China…
Contestants elected during the past weekend, namely Denmark, Lesotho, Malaysia, Namibia, Romania, Vietnam, for example, have not been scored by our judges yet, which should happen soon. Every Tuesday, from now on, the ranking will be updated.
Pre-arrival scores are base on the first impression our judges have going through the candidates photos and videos available on the internet. This list usually suffers considerable changes when the competition kicks off.
For the first time on a GB special coverage, you can see all the judges’ scores and GB overall ranking by visiting each candidate’s page.
Understand GB’s new scoring system
Inspired on the “little men” used by Brazilian newspaper O Globo to judge the best and worst movies in the city of Rio de Janeiro, it works as explained bellow:
4.00-5.00 – Standing Ovation!! Extraordinary candidates who could easily fight for the crown;
3.00-3.99 – Applause!! Very good candidates, all with potential to be finalists or even capture the crown;
2.00-2.99 – To keep an eye on. Nice girls, they could even pull a surprise and place among the quarter or semi-finalists.
1.00-1.99 – Could get better. Not impressive at this point, but these girls could evolve as the competition begins and continues.
0.00-0.99 – Blah! Sorry, no chance at all!
Do you agree with our judges’ choices so far?? Let the fun begin!!
